🥑 Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of country sourdough bread
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, divided
  • Firecracker Farm Hot Salt, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (about half a lemon)
  • Fresh herbs (optional: basil, parsley, or thyme)
  • Red pepper flakes or chili crunch (optional, for extra heat)

🔥 Instructions:

1️⃣ Toast the Sourdough:

  • Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat.
  • Toast the slices of sourdough until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  • Optional: Brush with olive oil or butter for extra richness.
  • (Toaster or broiler works too!)

2️⃣ Prep the Avocado:

  • Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  • Mash with a fork to your desired texture—creamy or chunky.
  • Add a squeeze of lemon juice and a few grinds of Firecracker Hot Salt.
  • Mix well.

3️⃣ Toss the Cherry Tomatoes:

  • Halve the cherry tomatoes.
  • Toss in a small bowl with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and a pinch of salt.
  • (Optional: Skip this step and drizzle olive oil over everything at the end instead.)

4️⃣ Assemble the Toast:

  • Spread the mashed avocado evenly over the warm toasted sourdough.
  • Top with the cherry tomatoes.
  • Drizzle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

5️⃣ Garnish & Serve:

  • Sprinkle with fresh herbs (if using).
  • Add red pepper flakes or chili crunch for an extra fiery kick.

6️⃣ Enjoy!

  • Serve immediately while the toast is warm and the tomatoes are juicy.
