🥑 Ingredients:
- 2 slices of country sourdough bread
- 1 ripe avocado
- ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, divided
- Firecracker Farm Hot Salt, to taste
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice (about half a lemon)
- Fresh herbs (optional: basil, parsley, or thyme)
- Red pepper flakes or chili crunch (optional, for extra heat)
🔥 Instructions:
1️⃣ Toast the Sourdough:
- Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat.
- Toast the slices of sourdough until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
- Optional: Brush with olive oil or butter for extra richness.
- (Toaster or broiler works too!)
2️⃣ Prep the Avocado:
- Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
- Mash with a fork to your desired texture—creamy or chunky.
- Add a squeeze of lemon juice and a few grinds of Firecracker Hot Salt.
- Mix well.
3️⃣ Toss the Cherry Tomatoes:
- Halve the cherry tomatoes.
- Toss in a small bowl with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and a pinch of salt.
- (Optional: Skip this step and drizzle olive oil over everything at the end instead.)
4️⃣ Assemble the Toast:
- Spread the mashed avocado evenly over the warm toasted sourdough.
- Top with the cherry tomatoes.
- Drizzle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
5️⃣ Garnish & Serve:
- Sprinkle with fresh herbs (if using).
- Add red pepper flakes or chili crunch for an extra fiery kick.
6️⃣ Enjoy!
- Serve immediately while the toast is warm and the tomatoes are juicy.
